adoption options  When faced with an unplanned pregnancy, you have many options for you and the baby.  You have the power of choice; all decisions are yours!

If you pregnant and not prepared to parent a child, you could choose to make an adoption plan for the baby and yourself.  You make all the decisions for you and your child.

You Choose:

  1. The Adoptive Family:  Family Connections, Inc. has many qualified adoptive parents who are dreaming of having a child.  Please view the agency's waiting families by clicking here.  All of the families have completed an extensive home study investigation and are approved as adoptive parents.
  2. The Type of Adoption:  You can choose the level of openness you wish for in the adoption.
  • Confidential Adoption:  Your identity is protected.  You may choose the adoptive family.  You and the adoptive parents do not share identifying information and do not meet.  You do not have post-adoption contact.
  • Semi-Open Adoption:  You choose the adoptive family and meet the family.  You share some identifying with the family.  You receive pictures and letters regarding the growth and development of the child throughout their childhood.
  • Open Adoption:  You choose the adoptive family and develop a relationship with the family.  You share identifying information.  You maintain a relationship with the child and adoptive family post-adoption through the exchange of picutures and letters and face-to-face visits (typically one to three visits per year).
  • The Hospital Plan:  You decide how you wish for the adoptive parents to be involved with you and the baby at the hosptial.
