Introduction:

Hello, we are Brian and Elizabeth, “Liz”, and we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us better. We have been together for 10 years, married for 7, and have wanted and tried to have our own children for many years. Through the difficulties of infertility, we have not been deterred from our dream of adding to our family with a child that we can raise with all the love we have. We admire and respect the courage you have for creating an adoption plan and are honored that you are seeing this and considering us.

Parenting Philosophy:

We believe that we can do anything we set out to do as a team, and approach parenting with the same belief. We know that children are a blessing and a gift. We are committed to creating and sustaining an environment where a child will always know the love that we have for them, and how they are a blessing. An environment where they are an equal part of our team and have all our trust and respect, and we will encourage and guide them to reach for and attain all the goals they can dream of.

We met nearly 10 years ago, working together in a medical office, and we hit it off right away. In 2014 we were married, surrounded by our large extended family, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, siblings, and our many nieces and nephews. Shortly after we were married, we bought our first home together and rescued our dog, Tucker. In December of 2020 we sold our house in the South and decided to move back to upstate New York to be close to family again, while we began the adoption process. Our parents, siblings and their families are just as excited as we are to welcome the newest member and look forward to watching our family grow with the addition of a child.

Our Home:

We live in a quiet and friendly community, in the suburbs of Central New York, filled with families of various sizes and ages with plenty of children to play with in this neighborhood. Our home was built in 2006, and has 3,000 square feet of living space, nearly 1 acre of land to play on, and a flat, low-traffic street, perfect for learning to ride a bike. There are plenty of great schools in our area, both public and private, along with other educational and recreational based venues like parks with safe playgrounds, zoos, museums, sports teams, theaters, and so much more.

Our Professions:

Liz works as an Exam Technician for a local optometrist, assisting the doctors with preparing patients for their eye exams. Brian is a military recruiter for a Fortune 500 Retail Company, providing employment opportunities for veterans and military spouses, while permanently working from his home office.

Our Activities:IMG_0604

Liz and Brian love spending time with their large extended family, whether that is for regular dinners and game nights, or celebrating holidays, birthdays, and other major events. We share in taking walks/hikes with our dog Tucker and finding new places to explore while kayaking. Liz enjoys baking delicious desserts, reading, listening to music, and playing all sorts of games from cards and Yahtzee, to outdoor games like Cornhole and miniature golf. Brian enjoys cooking on the outdoor grill and smoker, doing yardwork projects along with helping family and friends with projects, and taking in sporting events on TV and in person. We love traveling to see new places, and have enjoyed trips to the beach, and to various states to visit family. Whatever we do, we make the most of our time together and sharing in all our experiences. We are excited to share our interests and adventures with our child and give them opportunities to explore their passions.
