Adoptive Family Profile
for
Cody and Bridget

Hello! We are Bridget and Cody, a couple from western New York, and we’re so grateful you’re taking the time to learn about us. We know this is a big decision, and we want to share a little about our lives, our family, and the kind of home we hope to provide for a child. Our son has been wanting to be a big brother for the last few years. Our story is waiting for you to be part of it!
Our Story;

We met online in the winter of 2017 and felt an instant connection on our very first date. Our goals, especially about starting a family, were completely aligned. Since then, we’ve welcomed our son and married in April 2021. We complement each other, play to one another’s strengths, and balance each other perfectly.

ABOUT CODY
Cody has worked in sales for 15 years. Currently, he is an Agronomic Technical Consultant who helps farmers across New York’s southern tier. Cody enjoys swimming and pretty much anything outdoors. His hobbies include camping, working out, and attending games for his favorite football team: the Bills! Cody loves spending time with his family, keeping up with yard work, gardening, and being involved in his son’s extracurriculars.
ABOUT BRIDGET
Bridget has been in the helping professions her entire career via social work with mental health and various other disabilities. She has a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and works as a Behavior Intervention Specialist where she works with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Bridget enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outside and doing landscape photography as a hobby. Bridget also enjoys coaching her son’s soccer team. Football is a passion of Bridget’s as well, and Cody has brought her over to be a Bills fan throughout their relationship!

OUR HOME
We live in a small close-knit community with lots of terrific neighbors who genuinely care for our family. We live in a Cape Cod on a dead-end street where lots of kids enjoy riding bikes and playing sports. We have a fenced in back yard with an above ground pool and swing set for lots of outdoor activities. We love getting fresh air and try to be outdoors as much as possible. Reading is a daily part of our lives. We read nearly every night before bed with our son. We feel it’s important to be exposed to literature and music as much as possible.

MEET OUR FAMILY
Nothing is more important to us than family. Bridget’s parents live just 25 minutes away, and Cody’s father lives just under two hours away. Both of Bridget’s siblings live 20-25 minutes away, including two cousins to our son. Our family gets together frequently for birthdays, holidays, and even the occasional Sunday dinner/cookout. We also value athletics and enjoy attending our son’s various extracurricular activities. We love pets dearly and have two dogs: a black lab and a golden retriever. We also have a deep-rooted love for the Adirondacks and hiking. We try to visit the Adirondack park for a week every year. It’s a great opportunity to unwind and enjoy nature with our son.

We believe in raising children with love, patience, and encouragement. It’s important to us to create an environment where they can be their truest selves. Our goal is to nurture curiosity, kindness, and resilience. We want to create a home where a child feels safe to explore who they are, knowing they are deeply loved and supported every step of the way.

A NOTE TO YOU
All in all, we are so excited to welcome a child into our family and look forward to nurturing and loving your child for our whole lives! We are open to the level of openness you would choose. We look forward to raising a child alongside our supportive community and family members. We deeply appreciate you getting to know us and are grateful for considering us your child’s adoptive parents!
