To Adopt An Infant Via An Independent Adoption adoptive parents will need the home study investigation services from an authorized adoption agency.  The adoptive parents, their attorney and the birth parent(s)' attorney facilitate the adoption.  If the child is born outside of New York State, the adoptive parents may also need an authorized adoption agency to accept responsibility for the adoptive placement for the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children.  Family Connections, Inc. is available to provide home study services and support the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children for adoptive parents pursuing an independent adoption.

Family Connections, Inc. is a not-for-profit, New York State authorized adoption agency with twenty years of experience supporting birth parents and adoptive parents.  Recently the agency has placed many infants with adoptive families and thus is actively recruting new prospective adoptive parents.  If you are considering domestic adoption as a way to build your family, please contact Renee or Anita at 1-800-535-5556 or renee@adoptfamilyconnections.org.  To request a free information meeting regarding the agency's domestic infant placement program, please click below.
