Adoptive Family Profile for Joe & Zach

Untitled-1

Introduction

Hello! We're Joe and Zach, and we want to thank you for reading our profile. We’ve been married for three years and we are very excited about expanding our family through adoption. This is a huge decision for you, one that takes courage and strength. We can only imagine how difficult it must be searching for a family to raise your child, and we want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us.

Parenting Philosophy

We have always wanted a large, diverse family and we look forward to welcoming a child into our lives. We are both close with our parents. When we were growing up, each of our mothers encouraged reading and education, attended extracurricular events, and helped provide a loving and open home for us. Our fathers similarly took us to sporting and extracurricular events, helped us with homework, and provided advice.

We hope to emulate our parents by preparing meals, cheering from the stands, going on vacations, and being there to listen and provide advice when needed. We want you to know that your child will be well cared for in every way, both physically and emotionally. We've always dreamed of building a family through adoption and providing a loving home.

Our Family

We are both close with our families and are fortunate to live near them. Both of our sets of parents live within an hour of us and we get together often. Joe has siblings that cannot wait to be aunts and uncles and our entire extended family is extremely supportive of our adoption journey.

We are fortunate to be able to spend holidays and vacations with friends and family, and we have a number of traditions that we cannot wait to share with a child.  We take family vacations to Florida, the Adirondack Mountains, and Cape Cod, go to the same tree farm every year to cut down a Christmas tree, and attend Syracuse University basketball games.

Our Home

We live in a four bedroom house in a suburb outside of Rochester, NY. It is the same town in which Zach grew up and offers so much for families to take advantage of. The Erie Canal, libraries, restaurants, beautiful parks, and wonderful schools are all within walking distance of our home.

Our neighborhood is extremely child-friendly with walking trails, green spaces and neighbors who care and look out for one another. We have a wonderful front porch and beautiful, fenced backyard that our dog cannot wait to share with our new addition.

Who We Are

Joe holds a law degree and is licensed to practice as an attorney in New York State. He currently works as a clerk for a judge in a state court. His job is intellectually challenging, but also very rewarding because the cases resolve important issues in the lives of everyday people.

Joe is a caring, organized, and thoughtful person who loves spending time with friends and family. Outside of work, Joe enjoys doing home improvement projects, golfing, playing soccer, and throwing the frisbee with our dog Toby in the backyard.

Zach is excited to see Joe become a dad and cannot wait to see Joe playing soccer and running around the yard with our child.

Zach has a dual Masters degree in Education and Special Education. He is currently in his sixth year teaching at a local Montessori School and teaches in a primary classroom with 3-5 year old students. There is never a dull moment at work and Zach would have it no other way. He absolutely loves working with kids and cannot wait for his son or daughter to be able to come to work with him.

Zach is a kind-hearted, witty, and easy going individual who cares deeply about his friends and family as well as the children that he teaches every day in his classroom. Outside of work, Zach enjoys reading books, socializing with friends, and taking Toby on walks while listening to a new podcast.

Joe cannot wait to see Zach become a dad and is looking forward to being able to tap into Zach's expertise to provide our child with the best education possible.

In closing, we thank you!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our profile and considering our family. We know you want what is best for your child and we will devote our lives to providing him or her with all the love and security we have to offer.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and for considering us as you make this decision. We would be happy to meet with you personally.

All the best,

Joe and Zach
